Customer submitted Apple Macbook that was completely dead, apart from green light on charger. We disconnected battery and inspected logic board under microscope. 3 points of corrosion were cleaned and the surrounding area re flowed.
Test results were that the board would then beep 3 times, this is relating the the Macbook memory. We re-flowed all 4 Memory chips and replaced one as it showed signs of corrosion underneath pads and on the sides.
Retested and the Macbook now works as normal and boots from SSD.
